Kuna Yala is an indigenous region of Panama inhabited by the ethnic group kuna. Formerly the region was called San Blas. Its capital is Porvenir. The region of Kuna Yala (land of kuna) owns 373km of length in the coast of the Panamanian Caribbean, is an archipelago of 365 islands of which 36 are inhabited. Kunas is dedicated to agriculture (the coconuts are their currency of change), to the artisan fishing with small networks or sedal and to the crafts.
